I had a moment today.
It was a great feeling, actually.
I was listening to some Nickel Creek. Man, I used to love Nickel Creek in college. They were such a talented group that played such beautiful music. They came to Messiah twice while I was there and I saw them both times. Those concerts were glorious.
Anyhow, listening to one Nickel Creek song got me wanting more. I started Youtubing other songs. I started humming along and thinking about how those songs used to make me feel back in the day. Those good ol’ college days.
I could really feel it too. That serenity and innocence. The playfulness of life back then. How simultaneously large and small my life seemed to be.
What a blessing it is to recall the past with a smile. To know God has graciously given me past experiences with the sole purpose of warming my heart in the future. I didn’t know that then, but I’m thankful for it now.
My heart is so very warm today. I like that.
